    Mission Statement   

 

The MEMORIAL LODGE # 100, New York City, New York, is a non-profit organization formed by members of the law enforcement agencies that work with New York City or New York State. Membership shall be in accordance with Article IV, Section 1, 2, 3 and 4, of said article and section.

The MEMORIAL LODGE # 100 does hereby declare and subscribes to the current official constitution and by-laws of the National Grand Lodge of the FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE and the State of New York / Empire State Lodge of the FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE under whose authority and direction this subordinate lodge s constitution and by-laws are drawn and effected.

It holds in one great bond of comradeship the MEMORIAL LODGE # 100 members. It recognizes no rank and does not offer benefits or emoluments. It is a force within a force; a tower of strength to combat evil; an inspiration from within; a beacon of hope for the weak; a leaven for good.

Its tenets: self-respect, courage, loyalty and devotion to duty.

We, the law-enforcement officers of MEMORIAL LODGE #100, New York City, New York, do hereby associate the Law Enforcement Agencies we represent and the members thereof together for the following purposes:

1- To support and defend the constitution of the United States, New York State and New York City;

2- To inculcate loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America;

3- To promote and foster the enforcement of law and order;

4- To improve the individual proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties;

5- To encourage social

6- To create a tradition of esprit de corps insuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances;

7- To cultivate a spirit of fraternization and mutual helpfulness among our members and the people we serve;

8- To create and maintain and demand for high caliber personnel through high standards of professionalism and public exposure;

9- To increase the efficiency of the police profession and thus more firmly to establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the, protection of life and property;

10- To encourage and foster greater cooperation between all law-enforcement agencies;

11- To strive for national recognition of law-enforcement officers who are killed in performance of their duty and participation in National Police Week (annually in the month of May ).
